Y'all missed out on a nice Supercab

I've been talking myself out of buying a truck all week, and tonight the Ebay auction ended early, which told me the owner got an offer he couldn't refuse. So, while i'm off the hook, I figured I'd share what it was. The truck was a 78 F250 Supercab, 4x4, Camper Special.....with 64k original miles......no, I'm not kidding. I spoke to the seller at some length, who's a nice guy, but circumstances beyond his control forced him to sell the truck. I wanted to buy it quite badly, but I swore to myself that one way or the other, I was going to get Buford running by this summer. That being the case, I couldn't bring myself to buy this rig.....but I sure wanted to.

I spoke to the owner again tonight, and I was right....he did get an offer on the truck that made him happy, so he ended the auction. I was glad that he got what he wanted, but I'm jealous as hell of the guy that's getting this truck.

Anyway, enjoy!

I thought all Supercabs were auto only? This one had a 4 speed manual in it with a 400. How rare would a truck like this be?

There's a guy on another one of my sites with a nice blue/white 78 250 SC 4x4 with NP435 in it. I had a red/white 78 250 with a 435 as well. But you're right, I see a metric boat load more autos than manuals in the 250 sc 4x4's.

One nice survivor. I hope the new owner realizes what he has. I wonder what the selling price actually was.

if you guys are into clean - have a look at this one too. Not as flashy with all the trim but then again I liked the stripped trucks better personally. Oh - and it's a short bed - which I like better too!
