Well down here you can't get the truck I bought for anywhere near what I paid. Crew cab duallys with a diesel and manual trans are very sought after in Texas. Now single cabs in both Louisiana and Texas are very very cheap to get. My dad picked up a 2007 f250 single cab 6.0 powerstroke in very good shape with 120,000 miles on it for $1900 at the auction. That's one nine zero zero. That's what single cabs cost down here. Their very cheap. Only dually single cabs that bring a little more money are 4x4's for the pipe fitter welders.

It doesnt have a d60 front axle(because it is 2wd) but if it did 850 at most
and a 2wd zf trans is worth about 200

Unknown milage, beat interior, beat exterior, = 1000

Hell i paid 1000 for this F-superduty w 250k on the clock and it is in reaaly good condition other than the wood on the flat bed
well i live in central PA.... IDK y i put 600 for a used turbo that was a mistake... also he nvr stated if it was a 4x4 or a 4x2 that is y i said "if" it has a D60 thats what its worth and its funny that u say 850 at the most for it bc there r ppl on here that pay way more and i dont care if its only a 4x2 zf i think their still worth more than that but no a lot and the 4x4 ZF r worth a lot i sold 1 for 1100... and the IDM from those trucks also go for around 400 just little part r worth a lot.... just b/c u cant alway sell stuff that doesnt mean it not worth much it sometimes me no one needs it at the moment....

If you had a clue what you were talking about it would be GREAT

it was obvious the truck was 2wd because Ford NEVER made a 4wd crewcab dually

Well.. You could only get a dually crew cab 4x4 with the 460. A diesel 4x4 dually wasn't offered by ford but centurion and a few other dealer AM companies made dealer conversions.

NO you could NOT.

There was no form of a crewcab 4wd dually made by ford untill 1999. No matter what engine came in it. Any crewcab 4x4 duallys were conversions.
Those are the FACTS and I am not going to argue over it

Then how does my friend own that's a 1996 f350 dually crew cab 4x4 with a 460 that he bought directly from a dealership in 96 off the showroom floor. It's not a conversion.

Well just picked up the truck today. Boy is it a project. What I need is a complete dash replacement, new foam on seats and seats recovered, new radio, ac control board, ignition, and that's just about the inside. The way you start it is turn ignition to run position. Hit the toggle switch to on which starts it, second it starts, turn toggle switch off. Reverse grinds when you attempt to put in reverse. To go into reverse you shut truck off, put in reverse restart and backup. Only way.

How did you find auctions to buy stuff at? I'd love to find one in my area. That is a steal of a deal.

Manheim auto auctions are located world wide but are restricted to car dealers only, which I am one.

You go through brokers though correct? Is their any brokers for manheim auctions. I've heard of them before.

Just changed the oil and trans fluid. Trans was bone dry. No wonder it was hard to shift.

Well I know why the trans was bone dry. The front main seal or throwout bearing seal is gone. Filled it up and noticed a trail of fluid leaking everywhere I drove today. I hope it will make it back to Texas tomorrow. If it does I'm buying an used trans or rebuilding this one when I get back.
