need help with a clutch change

I'm workin on a 1993 ranger 4.0 4x4. I'm changin the clutch and need to know how to do so. I haven't really looked at it yet but do I need to pull the motor or would it be easier to pull the tranny? If anyone has done this before let me know what I have to do.

When my boyfriend and I did the clutch in my 91 ranger 4x4 4.0L, we dropped the tranny. The hardest part was getting around the exhaust.

My brother-in-law has a '94 Ranger and when he changed the clutch he had to remove the starter and drop the tranny. He did not have to remove the motor.

I don't know enough about it to give you a specific answer. My Haynes manual does a pretty good job describing the procedure for my '98, so you might want to pick one up that covers the '93. Good luck!
