Truck Died. Loss of power..Fuel pump?
My '03 died on thursday. It had no power and it wont re start. It sat over night and it started for a few seconds, ran real rough and died and now it wont re start. I dont know where to start. I attached a youtube video of what its doing. Could it be the fuel pump?
Thanks

No recent work. I have a modis and it says the ficm voltage is at 48. I read that on a 03 that that is good.
I cant start it to do a koer test. There are no codes present with a koeo test.
Changed filters on side of road when truck died. They didnt appear clogged or anything.
What should i look for on modis?
Where is the ICP located so I can unplug?
Thanks

Unplugged Icp. This is the result.

I did see on the modis that FICM is sync'd
Should I order a ICP and pigtail from the dealer?

NO^^^ if ICP BAD it would have started when unplugged
so since it still didnt start we will say its GOOD for Now
ICP and IPR% readings will help
What do you get for Fuel Pulse Width???? if you get a 0 for FPW then ICP and IPR% are a MUST at that point

It sounds like your motor is choking for air and the MAP, EBP sensors might be shutting things down. It may appear to be fuel starvation, but I have a feeling it might be air since your filters are fine. If your 6.0 is stock, then you might want to take off the throttle body and see if the butterfly is still there. If so, check and see if it is stuck and remove it regardless. it was designed to control the air flow to the EGR and was later determined that it was not necessary for proper function - only a detriment if it gets stuck There is a motor/sensor connected to the stem which connects to the butterfly valve - this needs to be cleaned and might need to be replaced. Even though you remove the plate, the sensor and motor need to work, otherwise it will throw P0488 and P0407 codes.
Try that and see if it helps.

Thanks for help all. I plugged the sensors back in. Still no start
I talked to the guy that is working on my '05 doing the headgaskets.
I told him about how I unplugged the icp. I also told him that it looked like the harness was cut and a new one was spliced in. He told me if the wires were all purple, that it had already been changed. Which I confirmed today.
He asked if the truck was building oil pressure when cranking. It is according to the dash gauge. Which was his question.
Next he asked me if when cranking were rpms showing on the tach..they arent. So that means the cam sensor?
That was his 5 min diagnosis over the phone. I dont think it would almost start like it does. When i replaced the cps on my 7.3 it wouldnt even kick over like this one does.
Ill look into butterfly tomorrow.
Thanks

Sure sounds like my 06 when I had HPO leaks! I know yours is an 03 so I am thinking HPOP. The mid 04 and newer models, use different parts, and the pump system they use rarely fail, but the 03 to mid 04 pumps are known probs.
Edit: Could be a stuck open IPR valve, Oil filter, or cap. I am thinking maybe the screen under the oil cooler ripped, and plugged up the IPR valve, holding it open.
