Crown Vic into a 63 Styleside - Steering Question

I am relatively new to this forum and have been doing a lot of reading on the CV swap. I have a 1963 Ford F100 Styleside with a 59 box on it. The truck was bought by my father in 1965. It currently has a 223 with a 3 speed on the column.

My plans for this year are to install a front crossmember out of a 2005 CV that I was able to find. The plan right now is to use an 8.8 rear end out of a 1995 crown vic. I am also installing a 5.0 (302) EFI with an AOD transmission in it. I will be starting on this project soon.

My question is this: what steering column can be used in this that will work with the CV rack and pinion steering. I want to have something that has a column shifter for the automatic. I want to stay away from the square steering columns that the newer vehicles have. I would like to keep the ignition in the dash but it is not mandatory. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone know of a Canadian distributor for parts for my truck. I am located in Nova Scotia, Canada and bringing stuff across the border is quite pricey.

You will need to custom mount the column. You can use a aftermarket unit from places like Ididit.

It will need the dash pedal mount reworked and a restraint at the floorboard or firewall.

There must be a cheaper alternative than using one of those columns. There has to be columns out there that other people have used from other vehicles and fabricated them to fit.
