Reusing Ubolts

Is it cool to reuse ubolts on the back of a pickup?

These things are zinc coated and supposedly are okay by the manufacturer.

They weren't on the truck for very long and the threads are alright.

All the pieces are there.

I would have no issue reusing those U bolts. The practically look brand new.

yeah they are pretty much brand new.... I know he didn't have him on his rig for a long time at all. Not sure how much he tightened them down though. I doubt he overtorqued 'em.

Even the manufacturer says they're reusable... but I"ve read a lot about not doing it for safety reasons. $40 isn't enough to risk it unless I can get a full on 100% response.... grnated, they are about 99% new haha.

Thanks for your input man. Anybody else have one?
