Anyone ever do it? Do you just disconnect the plug, pop off the retaining clip and pull the whole thing out with a pair of pliers from the outside? Is there any need to pop the top off and get at it from the inside? Should it just slide on or is there any type of grove it needs to slide out of?

Any tips are appreciated.

 

Be sure that the pump needs replacement-my problem was a corroded connector between the body wiring and the pump. I would think that the pump can be removed from the bottom outside. Remove the reservoir from the truck and take a look.

 

i replaced mine, was somewhat of a pain. the actual nuts and clips are very easy to do. hard part was getting at the clips holding the rotating arm on the pump to the windshield wiper arms. had to undue the cowling, lift it up, get my big hands in there . not technically difficult tho
