Real world gas mileage with the 6.2

I picked mine up on one of the final days of February (I forget which one) and I had it back to the dealership for the TSB on the trans issue. Still does it, it's actually worse now when its warmed up versus before it was just if the air temperature was about 35 or less, and the truck was cold.

I found you can buy two different versions of the Airaid. One has a replaceable filter and the other an oil dipped filter.
Which one is yours? Is is a cleanable one?
Haven't decided if I will get it yet.
I found this site for $267 with free shipping and no tax. LINK
Anyone find a better price?

Just order my Airaid system. Now all we have to do it wait for it to get here.
Have you noticed any mpg difference with the Airaid?
I'm buying it for better breathing at higher altitudes while pulling my trailer. 6,000 ft and higher.

Then I just got my trans flashed and it needs to go through the learning period again.
I did tow my trailer with it today for the first time with it, can feel and hear the power with the new intake. Just make sure you drive with the windows down so you can get the most out of the great sound.

I have not yet, mainly because I have been getting on it pretty good just to hear it. It sounds great.

So drive with the windows down. OK we will see.

Ok, just got back from my first extended highway trip.
240 miles there, and 240 miles back. Down, and then back up I-57 in Illinois.
15.1 mpg on the way there, 13.3 mpg on the way back.
There was a noticeable head wind on the way back. I suppose that could account for the difference. Overall it's about what I would expect. An average of 14.2 is ok with me. It is what it is. I didn't buy a Fiesta.

Finally pulled the camper out of storage. Pulled it 100 miles witha 25-30 mph crosswind, hitting me at my 2 o'clock position.
6.1 mpg!!
Camper: Jayco G2 36' Travel Trailer. Aprox weight was 9000lbs.
Tow info: I was in tow/haul mode and driving 55 or 60 mph depending on the speed limit I was in. Truck never shifted into 6th gear. Most of the time it sat in 5th or 4th. This truck had plenty of guts to get me going and keep me going. I'd like to see what I get for mileage with a tail wind of a calm day.

I thought Tow Haul Mode was designed for up and down hills when you needed more torque or for braking.
I was running 55/60 mph also and got a little better mileage than you.
I got 7.5 to 7.8 MPG which I thought was low.
I only have a 2x4 and not a 4x4.

When I was pulling with a similiar head wind I never put it in Tow Haul Mode and also used 4th and 5th most of the time.

I did switch back and forth from Tow/Haul but didn't note any performance changes, so I ended up leaving it in Tow for those occassional hills I ran into....plus I wanted to see first hand what it would do.
