What are you going to use the truck for basic use or heavy hauling? An did you get a Haynes book & service manuals & owner manual for the truck yet? You can also go to Martireport & get some info on the truck there.

i'm in highschool right now so the truck is going to be used to embarass the ricers who think a coffee can muffler and stickers add 100 hp. the 428 is already built to the hilt and puts out around 450 horsepower and is backed by a c6. the only thing this truck will be hauling is ***!. oh and my quad haha.

haha i can't wait for the day a ricer lines up beside my dent..he'll wish he never did haha. if my truck was a super cab it would definately be getting the western style mirrors but i think the regular cabs look better without so i'm sticking to my small ones. this truck will be in my family for a long time now that it's mine and like i said supercabfreak, it's both my first and my last haha, well unless i want to buy a different one for a mud toy of course

thanks bucks77ford, by the way that is a beautiful dent you've got, and maverick1978, that is very true haha, i am debating on hopping up the 300-6 for the time being, my dad has a 428cj FE in his 76 ford highboy but the truck is trashed, it was our race truck for short course obstacle course racing so it's pretty much done. the drive train is still salvagable though and i am looking to snag the 428/c6 combo. i won't be able to get the motor for at least another year so i am wondering what i could do to my 300 to get a few extra ponies out of it. i plan on doing the EFI exhaust manifold swap and an offy 4 barrell intake manifold with a 470cfm truck avenger carb. i am wondering what else there is that i could do to it on the cheap? any input is greatly appreciated,
thanks,

diesel-kid

Thats what i was gonna say. Put a new Carb, and intake on it. you can always throw in a 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmasters or somethin like that. I don't really know much about the I-6 motors. My papaw had a 300 6 in his '89 4x4 that was EFI. Thats as much as I know about some of em haha

i was thinking a single 3" pipe just for a deeper tone with probably a flowmaster super 40. i know this thing isn't going to be a rocket but more power than it has now is good no matter what haha

i know how to hop her up a bit... put 2 more cylinders on her and set em 4 in a row haha Thats what i plan to do to my 351M. put 3" pipes on it with the same mufflers you had in mind. when i get the moo-lah i wanna put a new intake, cam, muffler, and possibly headers on her

hahahaaa. yeah same here. or getcha a big ol Powerstroke 7.3 and roll the coal on em but hey if you got the ol big block V8 in em you can go by em doin 10 in second gear and blow em off the road like swattin a fly! and to solve my 4 year old question, is the 351M a big block? i know its off topic though.
