Where do horns and bat cables attach to '56?

1. On a ’56 F100, where do the stock horns mount? The necks on mine have two threaded holes each.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
2. Where does the ground cable attach to the body?
<o></o>
3. Where do the battery cables exit the battery box and front splash shield? I don’t see any holes in the shield..
<o></o>
3. Where do the battery cable support brackets attach?
<o></o>
I’m trying to build a truck from a pile of parts.

my horns....uumm up front some where..mine dont work yet...the ground from the battery is on the front of the block and one from the back of the block to the firewall..and one to the frame in the back...it's your truck ..make it work .. or make it pretty..what looks right to you ..probably is ..if your build a show truck there are catalogs that show stock correct bit's an placement...if it's a work in progress it's your call ..got pictures??

Unless you are trying to build a totally original truck, I'd attach the negative battery cable to the engine...not the body. Under a bolt in the bell housing or starter is a good place. Run a ground strap from the engine to the firewall. This will ensure you have a good ground throughout your truck.

Passenger side radiator support

Hi NormH,

On my '56 the stock horn was mounted on the passengers' side radiator support.

I have a rotten photo that barely shows it:

If you look carefully at the passenger wind deflector, then look slightly back, you'll see a rusty
loop which is the back part of the horn mounted to the side of the readiator support.

you need to put the ground from the battery to the block and a ground to the firewall to compleat the ground for gauges and radio ..on my flatty there is a bolt hole on the back of the engine to firewall because the cab is rubber mounted..
