Ok so before Winter set in....I had been having problems with my battery. The last time I had it fired up (jumped by the tire and lube express next door) was a couple of months ago.
Today I decided to buy a battery so I could get it up and running and when I got the cables connected, the stinkin thing wouldnt stop honking. I took out the fuse and now the windshield wipers will not turn off and the truck wont even turn over! I can hear the AC and other things coming on from the power house but my truck wont fire, nor will the other things turn off! WHAT THE HELL is going on with my truck?????

 

Well welcome first of all! Not an electrical guy at but there are some wizards here that sure jump in and help.

 

Does your truck have a factory or aftermarket alarm system in it? Does it use one of the PATS keys with the chip in it? Some of the symptoms sound like anti-theft and alarm system issues. And smalltrucker is correct there are some very talented members here that will go above and beyond to help.

 

Yes sir my keys come with a lock/unlock and alarm button but....it hasnt ever worked correctly. Could disconnecting the anti-theft/alarm system help? I was thinking it might be a loose ground or something but...im not mechanically inclined to say either way. I honestly thought my truck was possessed yesterday...you know, like Christine!? lol
What would be your next step? Im open to try anything at this point!
