I'm almost done with my 51. wooohooooo !!! If i could turn back the clock i would have moved the gas tank. There sure ain't much room in these old trucks. I'm not a big guy [5'8'' 175 lb] but someone 6' 250lb it would be tight. LIVE AND LEARN

The top of the seat back hits the window before the seat hits the gas tank. Moving it doesn't gain anything (with most seats).

I'm 6'2", about 2(mumble, mumble) pounds and I fit in my stock truck pretty comfortably. I do have a problem with steering wheel swelling every year when I pull it out of winter storage but I still fit.

I have noticed that my cab seems to have shrunk too. What causes this? Do you think we could get a federal grant to study this phenomenon?

I would say this would be a good use for some stimulus money.

I'm 6'2" and 225 pounds. I used a 90 Ranger bench seat in my 48 and kept the gas tank in the stock location. The Ranger seat has a thinner back and I tilted it back. I had no problem with room at the steering wheel...
