Won't be long now.

 

The only update on mine is confirmed delivery for the week of June 13th. No change on the build date of May 25th. It is looking good so far. It was iffy at first as it looked like they were going to run out of nav units.

 

my fleet manager said mine was on the rail yesterday and was on its way, but may take up to 2 weeks to get to the dealer. dealer has the paperwork and information as well. they received the paperwork yesterday

Looks like you have a nice setup there. Now it's just a waiting game and sleepless nights until it gets there.

 

That it is, only a few weeks to go. I already have a bed matt, Weathertech mud flaps and floor mat,s and a Reese Elite fifth wheel hitch sitting in the garage waiting for it to arrive.

 

Here is a final update on my pickup order:

2011 F-350 Crew Cab, 6.2, 4x4, Dark Blue Pearl Metallic

Ordered on 1/26/11

First build date: 3/21/11 Delayed

Second build date: 4/4/11 Delayed again

Ford then lists build date for the week of April 25th.

Dealer calls a few days later and says vehicle will be built on April 29th.

I called Ford Customer Support on May 3 and found out pickup has been built and passed inspection and is awaiting shipment.

I called Ford Customer Support on May 6th and pickup is now in transit.

Pickup arrived at dealer on May 12th.

Did paperwork and picked up vehicle from dealer on May 16th.

Finally!!!

 

It'll be 5 weeks monday since i ordered mine, and no vin yet, i'll call Ford fri and see if theres any updates.

 

Since my dealer called me last Saturday (5/14/2011), he said that my truck would be in within a few days. I am assuming that it is now at the dealer. I have made arrangements for it to be picked up on June 11th. It would have been nice for them to call me to let me know when they were going to place the order but just as well. Now I just have to wait to return my other truck before I can go and pick this one up. Will post pics when I pick her up.

 

Yes it is just as well he did, with the amount of orders on the books it is looking like they will not all get built before shutting down and changing over to the MY12 later this summer. It was questionable for a while if mine would get built. I'll keep an eye out for your pictures, what did you order?

 

No vin yet is not sounding good. They may have balanced out before yours came up. Good luck.

 

Ordered a F350 King Ranch Crew with LB (Bronze with Adobe bottom), moonroof, upfitter switches, heavy duty suspension, FX4, Clearance lights, 6.2L gas (couldn't justify diesel), nav, rear defrost, bedliner, tailgate step, bed extender, 3.73 electronic locking axle, chrome pkg, heated/cooled seats, preferred equip pkg

I was told that they had to order the truck b/c of the issue with getting the color and the nav system. Since it was ordered and is already sold, I would assume that they will be keeping it in the back away from other people who could potentially climb into her and accidentally scratch the interior. Only 3 more weeks to go.

 

You'll have something real special when you get home. I almost ordered that color combo as well. I was up at the dealership the other day looking at it and I was almost kicking myself for not getting it. It was the nav unit on mine that almost stopped it from being built as they had run out but then managed to get some in or something. The disaster in Japan is causing some supply problems at the plants.

 

Agreed. Sony wasn't shipping any additional nav units to Ford for their SD trucks. I'm wondering if they are going to change the unit for MY2012. Oh well, I'm not concerned now since the truck has already been delivered to the dealer.
