302 351w oilpan ?

With some tweaking, I seem to recall it can be made to work. I fit a 351W into a 79 Mustang years ago, and built my own pan. If you think you will be using the rear sump pan on the W, forget it, the rear bearing cap is larger on the W, so no go. You will need a proper pan for the W to get it to work, that is why I built my own. Back before the internet, it wasn't easy to find out where to get parts, or what would work. I didn't want to pay $250 for a Moroso race pan for a street car. Turns out, the pan needed is a Crown Vic police interceptor pan, readily available now.Last I priced them, they were around $150 for the Ford part new, might even get the sump with them.
