Well to be honest, Im not sure yet. Waiting on the specs from my friend who ran it in his 86 fox body last year. I purchased his 460 and c6 and this is my first project. He was running consistant 11.08 in 1/4 on 92 octane with an octane booster. I could use help on what others are using radiator wise, ignition, fuel pump, ect. Sorry so ignorant....
No need to apologize for anything, you are just starting out.
If you ask me, I would enlist the assistance of your buddy who put the mustang together (close and hands on), unless he bought it that way and just ran it... You are going to need to buy an engine/trans swap kit to start with, then check with RJP on what radiator he is running. Of course you can always jump up to a nice expensive aluminum radiator. I am sure a regular 3 or 4 row will work fine as there is plenty of room under the hood of these things that allows for air circulation.

Just swapped from 390 to 460 this past summer & I'm still using my 20 year old stock type 3 row radiator.
It wasn't enough radiator in the hottest part of summer. Hope to get a better aluminum of some kind. Wondering if this is any good??
I think most or all of the 70's 460 trucks came with the "super cooling" radiator or whatever they call it. Top tank looks like a monster compared to more common 70's radiator.
