take a piece of 1/2" plate and drill some holes newb!

Drill holes in the plate. Or are you talking about the housing flange?

zero cons, ground clearance for the pro.
Seriously man, youre thinking about bobbing a bed but building some spouring plates and drilling a hole is too much work? Id seriously consider your capabilities before you start hacking at the frame of your DD.

the ubolts are the same price round vs square and I cant imagine a piece of 1/2x5x12" flat bar costing more than a couple bucks at your nearest scrap yard or metal fab shop.

i all ready got the kit i was gona do befor i got the top and bottom plate for like 5 bucks each the thing i have to cut the the pasnger side track bar mount
