Got a 2005 Explorer V6 XLT. I would like Video, but if not available I would like instruction on replacing thermostat and Alternator. and what skill level would this be ? Im NO Mechanic but do my own oil and brakes. If this is a Job for the Mechanic. Just tell me and I will let the Pro's handle it. Just trying to save a couple hundred dollars.
Okay, so a person who admits NOT being a mechanic who works on their own brakes but does not know how to replace a thermostat... is this a vehicle you would want to ride in? Yes, let the pros handle it.

The air duct is not in the way. so I wonder if My Truck may be different from the explorer instruction I have found. when I am facing my engine. The top radiator hose is to the left. and it seems the thermostat is right there. am I right ?
Following instructions 101... make sure the instructions you have are germane to your vehicle.
