Rear gate won't close sometimes

I have an 08 EXPY Eddie Bauer that occassionally when I press the auto-close button on the remote or in the rear compartment, the gate will close but then opens again as if there is an obstacle in the door. Other times it works just fine. Is there a TSB on this or is there some adjustment I can make to make the door close more reliably?
Thanks

There is a tsb. Search for it because I posted it a while back.

My wife had a similar issue occur while she was driving, the door opened on its own,
shortly after that it would not open at all.

I found the plug, inside the vented panel on the drivers side, was loose. I squeezed it back together and used a cable tie to secure it and haven't had any additional issues.

Anyone one have details or a full copy of the TSB?

After searching through countless threads I found Berry's list of TSB's and looks like it is: 08-14-5 07/21/2008 Body - Power Liftgate Inoperative/DTC B117B

Does anyone know the details of the TSB (fulltext) or how to fix it. My rear gate stopped working and Its a PITA trying to get all the kids stuff in and out through the hatch glass

Edit: I think I found it. Posting it up in case any one else ever needs it.

So I pulled the panel off the other day to figure out why my lift gate wouldn't open with the remote or the exterior handle.

I started checking continuity on the wires and found that one of the main connectors going to the latch had corrosion buildup which was preventing the pins from making contact.

I cleaned the connector out with contact cleaner and she is back to normal.

Thanks !!

Thanks for the information as of this morning my power liftgate will not open electronically or manually.
Is the wire you are referring to inside the panel? I found a few different wires and various connection points.

If you trace back from the latch handle it goes to a small connector (2 wires i believe) and from there it goes to a larger connector (about 6-8 wires) it was the larger one that had the buildup on my truck. With the panel off it was pretty much in the middle of the lift gate, maybe a bit closer to the pass. side but I would check them all while you have the panel off.
