I am going to have to revamp my valance panel on mine anyway when I put the other fenders on. Sounds far out enough to be interesting or at least let's move to the next step with a picture and some sense of size.

Jim if your truck is still sitting the way it is in your sig picture. I don't think you've got enough ground clearance for that valance!

Well the cellphone snapfish image transferring site is not working, and I cant find the transfer cable for my digital camera, which I got some nice pics.
measures 23" wide by 8" tall minimum amount of area needed to graft in the center section with the openings. Ill keep trying for pics

It would totally work on your valance however. Jims grill is going to have to be removed by 50% to fit the valance holes I think

I'd love to have it. But if you are going to run a valance like that you need to show it off! That just wouldn't be my truck. I'm going to be building a big push type bumper which would just hide the cool valance.

what model is that big fat fridge? the round blinkers say 57-58, but is it a 550, 650 or what. and it would be nice if someone could come up with a better name for the 51-52 instead of manure spreader. one other thing, that is a nasty looking four door bronco, but the pic of you getting gas made me wonder if you have ever had a gas shower when the nozzle doesnt kick off automatically?

I am sorry to have to agree with you. A stock valance is about 8inches and that is going to be thinned down to about half that height give or take.

Somebody has got to grab this as it is just too good to let sit on a wall. Somebody???

jim

PS: I was thinking how cool it would be to have that front panel with a Mercury grille and watch the experts go crazy trying to figure it out. Sorry I guess it is the darksider in me.

Well the bronco is about a foot lower with the new 41's and 6" out of the suspension. It looks better, and I have been building the rear fenders to match the front. The fuel filler may be changed to an external style like on the flaresides.

The fat fridges were all f700 or f750 and up all the way to f1100. were the same from 57-60 except for a grill change and some badging differences also the triple hole valances changed at some point because I have two differently made ones, only very slightly however. Im probably the only person to have ever noticed.

By the way, the valance actual height is about 10.75 inches in the middle section.

how cool that'd look with a set of nerf bumpers and some louvres in the hood of my 53 after it's dropped .................... those holes are awesome looking !!!!! make a great " custom " touch !!!!!!!!!!!! and yes i know the valance wouldn't actually fit my 53 but with a lil' help from some friends i'm sure it could donate that section to the cause !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do it! That would look so cool and be different from all the other 53s out there.

When you are done, you are going to do it right?, take pictures and show us how it turns out.
