Purchased Ford 6.9/7.3 L rear main seal kit off eBay - instructions telll of removing wear sleeve - my rear crankshaft flange diameter is larger than seal - so I assume I have the wear flange installed - instructions tell to split this sleeve - yet my kit did not come with replacement sleeve - is this normal ? as new/replacement sleeve need to be installed to fit flywheel correctly :

You should have gotten the whole seal assembly..There is an installer that installs both the seal and sleeve together .. same set up that several other engines use..I take it that it isn't genuine.
