water in oil, front freeze plugs?
I have an 02 f150 4.6 with 130k+. To make a long story short, I did not have anti-freeze in my truck and it froze. Before you say it. I know, but it happened. So now I have water in my oil. My 1st Question is can water get to the oil if one of the front 4 freeze plugs (1 on each head and 2 on block, all behind timing cover) blows out? I"m not positive that one is even out. I just know that water leaves the reservior as fast as i put it in and ends up in my oil. My 2nd question is, if it's not a freeze plug, (I know it could be the block or a head) is it worth fixing or just replace the engine?

If it was the freeze plug it would run onto the floor as fast as u pour it in...As far as i know the most likely breach of 'engine fluid seperation protocol 001' would be at the cylinder head, and thats no reason to pull an engine, but a good excuse to rebuilt the top end FUNFUN i bet ull find the violation when u pull the cyclinder heads...GL
P.s would you consider using engine coolant instead of tapwater in the future??

I was thinking the same thing, but, I'm old school. The timing cover on this particular
model covers the front of the heads and the lower 2 front plugs. Basicly the whole front
of the engine. It looks like the cover would hold water and not dump it on the ground.
