need help exhaust

hey whats up well its come down to the wire now and im almost ready to mount my exhaust and was wondering what to go with for a muffler, i want a good sounding exhaust throaty with a crackle like the muscle cars of the fiftys i was thinking about a straight pipe but i dont know what diameter to go with so as not to blow out my valves i want the right amount of back pressure
im designing the exhaust to have a bolt in muffler pipe so i can change the volume easy

so any suggestions?

I personally can't stand the popping and crackling that some so-called performance mufflers allow under deceleration. Sounds like run-on. if its gonna sound good getting up to speed it should sound just as good coming back down. Opinion I hold... for what its worth.

I have always loved my Bassani equipment and in 10 years I've never had any trouble with it. But ask anyone who has been here a while and I'm a commercial for their stuff.

(Just remember to exit Bronco exhaust in the OEM location or out the side somewhere...never the back).

yeah i know about that, if you run the exhaust right out the back and for any reason are driving with the rear window down it can get sucked in the cab. if i were going to straight pipe it, what diameter pipe would you guys recomend? gotta have the right amount of back pressure, would you recomend goin with a straight pipe at all, remeber inspection doesnt matter im makin a cheater pipe that i can swap out right before inspection day

Nothing bigger than 3" for a single pipe system and half that for duals. Any bigger and you begin to lose back pressure.
