Freestyle Rear Console Question....

Freestyle Rear Console Question....
I'm looking to buy an 06 or 07 Freestyle.
I need to get one with the 2nd row captain's seats and the split 3rd row seats.
All of the Freestyle's that I have seen that have the 2nd row captains chairs also have a center console inbetween them. Does anyone know if this is removeable??????
I need room for a 3rd kid to be able to walk between the 2nd row to get to the 3rd row.
The FEW Freestyle's that I have seen with no center console between the 2nd row captains chair have a 3rd row with a single bench and not the split seats. I need the Split seats in the back so that I can fold one down for a stroller while my 3rd kid is sitting in the other one.

Yes. It is removable. However, in the infinite wisdom of the Ford designers, there is a piece perpendicular to the floor that attaches to the back of the console. This means that if you remove the console, you'll have a metal plate sticking up. In addition to that, the area under the console isn't carpeted.
I fixed this problem by fabricating a steel cover out of diamond plate that attaches to the floor the same way the console did. It just looks like a steel plate on the floor but it covers the area where there is no carpet and the mounting bracket for the console. I have some pictures around here somewhere. I'll post them in a few days if I can find them.

My apologies for taking so long to get the pictures. I thought I had more, but all I could find are the ones from the early fabrication. I'll update in a week or 2 after I take some new pics (or find the old ones).
