It's just the price tag that seems a little steep imo.

I just replaced the plastic insert clip for $6.00 before there was any metal to metal contact. I would install that kit if it was let go to the point of metal wear

mine was non existant also...every now and again i would hear a squeak. then last week i pushed in the clutch and the pin on the clutch pedal broke off...luckily i wasnt far from home and my buddy with a roll back took it to his shop. if you dont get the ebay part...try to get a hold of the plastic insert...it may hold out breaking the pin off. good luck

It is a **** poor design. Definately one of those things you need to change out and check on as a maintenance item. Shouldn't be designed as such. Not something you think about and it is not listed as a replace every couple of years type of part. I read about that plastic insert shortly after I got my truck and am replacing it every year or two. Not a bad price for 40 bucks considering it becomes a permanent install. No need to replace plastic clips anymore.
