Ford had a prototype V-10/ 6-speed manual shifted/ 4.30:1 geared F-350 supercab pickup, with a bunch of suspension goodies back in 2005. I recently(today)saw a 2008 body style HOSS EDITION complete with V-10/ manual 6-speed/ 4.30:1s, so they didn't abandon this concept. Bring back the V-10 to F-250/F-350 pickups for 2012. Make My HOSS EDITION a regular cab, with new 6-speed automatic, but 4.88:1s instead of 4.30:1s.

Better news would be the return of the V-10 to the pickup line, and Ford was actually going to build a HOSS edition Super Duty. They are famous for "teaser" vehicles : 2005 Lightning, Lightning Expedition(2001), and Bronco Lightning(1994/1995). Prototype vehicles are all fine and dandy, but if I can't buy a production version, seems like FoMoco loves to waste money.
