Rule number one in this house. One side of the garage is for her car. A reasonable price to pay to keep peace in the family!

That's how we play the game here too. As long as she has a place to park her car inside and a garage door opener, she doesn't care what I do with the rest or how many trucks I drag home. Works for us.

Saddest part of this story is that your wife drives a GM product...

And for the record my lawnmower is pushed up beside the truck, not under it, there's a big, um, difference there.

Yeah, but it's free. It is a Mary Kay car. There is nothing like getting a new car every two years, all she has to do is maintain a certain level of production. They pay license fees and all taxes and 80% of the insurance.

I'll give a big thumbs up to that one too for you. My dad has been a Ford fanatic all of his life. I have never seen him own anything except a Ford truck. He got a new job about a year ago. They gave him a C---y work truck with a gas card. He drives it every single day and does not complain.
