I like the truck, but the whole idea that it's being sold is kind of annoying...since the whole premise of the show is that "this car means so much to the guy...let's fix it up for him."

Makes the seal (owner) look like a jerk.
Agreed. Must not have been so sentimental about that truck, eh?

I agree a more deserving person could of used an overhaul. If mine was in that good of condition Id cruise it on the hot rod power tour and take it to all local car events.
My only complaints are that I don't see a power steering pump or AC compressor on that engine and I don't see my name on the title! I like the color, the stance, the rims, etc. For a lot less money I could make my 66 look like a cheap imitation.....LOL!

Love the show but I go along with Garbz on this one. IMHO the stock `65 grill is better looking, and after seeing them I'm not so sure I like the lights on the front bumper either. Not on this truck anyway. Other than that I think it's an awesome truck. It's great to see them doing a slick on the show but yeah, not great to see it showing up on e-bay.
Well the truck is well documented. I don't care for the look either but I still wouldn't sell it. I would put a nicer set of wheels on her. Sorry but those ugly I hate BIG and Chrome wheels. Makes it look like it rolled out the Hood.
He is probably selling the truck to pay the income taxes on the truck. Remember when you win something you have to pay "income" taxes on it not sales tax. 35% of god only knows how much they stuck into that truck is a lot of money to come up with. Maybe the show pays the taxes, I don't know but that is one drawback to winning a big ticket item.
im under the impression you or your family actually pay for this.. its not a gift like people think. i knew of a family that called them to get info on how to "apply" for this and it didnt take long for the issue of money to come up.... from what i understand "you" pay for most if not all of this.
