3 F-350's (two 2008 and one 2007): same problem, need suggestions for solution: driver side cylinders not firing; gone through a few batteries each; when Ford house puts it on tester, oil pressure dives, back on road oil pressure comes up again; trucks will just shut off running down the road!; P191 and P174 codes. It can't be an allergy to the Ford dealership, so what in the world can it be?!?! Any ideas?
Seriously though, if all three are having the same issue, what do they have in common? Did it happen at about the same time to all three? Did you have some work done to all three at the same time? Did someone sneak in and put sugar in all three tanks? I'd start by looking at what they have in common besides the engine and go from there.
Check Ford website under customer or owner section and type in the VIN to see if there are outstanding recalls or TSBs. Bad fuel pump, relay, fuel delivery module, replace fuel filter? I don't know for sure. It's odd that it happened on all 3 at the same time. Could be a high ethanol content fuel?
Bad gas? Had a bunch of ford fuel pumps die in Pittsburgh, all in one weekend about 10 years ago. Found to be Artic blend sent by mistake. Probably 50 or more went bad.
