Glad your drive was uneventful and quiet in to work...I'm sure everyone is simply home digging out still!...although you guys got mostly ice down there or did you get snow too?...I was watching the weather channel maps and the ice/snow line was right in Fort Wayne...so it looked like all ice to the south...

Ben,
I'm not sure between the red dot and tru glo...are there any retailers near you that carry the tru glo so you can pick it up and see how you like the reticle?...looks like the tru glo is non-powered whereas the red dot is a powered dot...since I never researched the legalities of powered sights...are there any restrictions in Indiana that preclude using a battery powered optic?...I have no idea.
I think I remember way back (could have been when I lived in Jersey too though) that they used to be illegal on bows...but I have not researched since...
I'd say any good quality ~30mm objective lense with unlimited field of view and eye relief would make an excellent gobbler scope!!!...
Good luck with the decision!
Joe.

.....and since turkeys don't fly down usually until fairly good light, I think the non-powered might work fine. Need to go see one like you mentioned.

Just got this email from my Operations Director, about a driver in Ft. Wayne
Driver just called in stating that they have a Level 1 snow emergency there, no one is allowed on the roads. They are saying this could be lifted around 13:00 today. Driver will keep us updated.
Sounds like fun up your way Joe

Dave,
Yeah...I saw that...
My company is closed today...in the near 16 years I have been there this is the SECOND time they have ever closed...the last time was back in 2003 when we had another level 1 snow emergency during the week...when there is a level 1 emergency I sure the lawyers have advised them they could be sued if they required employees to show up at work and someone got injured or injured someone in the process of attempting to get to work in the snow emergency...this is all speculation on my part but with how lawyers rule the world...I'm sure it isn't far off...
I just heard from my wife that our neighbor saved the day...he was out and plowed out everyone's driveways...I guess I owe him a case of beer!...
Drive safe everyone!
Joe.

I know in Allen County my wife said that the snow plow drivers weren't even going out until 5am this morning due to the winds/drifting snow...why plow only to have the road blown shut soon after the plow moves thru...having corn fields on both sides of many north/south county roads really hampers snow removal in high west winds!
Drive safe guys...
Oh yeah...can I get one of you to go to the Fort Wayne airport and clean off my Excursion tomorrow?...is that asking too much?

But you are right...you typically won't see them until it is lighter...plus the 30mm objective on the scope will let in plenty of light...but holding and looking thru the actual scope will help you decide for sure!
I've got Tru Glo style pins on my bow...they work very nicely for gathering whatever light is available...I'm not sure if the technology is similar with this reticle or not...
