Question 2000 f350 LIMITED EDITION?

hey guys, my grand dad bought his truck in 2000. its a F350 7.3 auto 2wd singlecab LB, its 2 tone white and champagne. i seen this truck brand new when i was 10 years old and ive been inlove with it ever since. he recently passed it down to me and ive got some questions about it.. now being and old man and all he put every bell and whistle he could on it.. my question is, did ford make a limited edition in 2000?? or is this just a badge he added underneath the F350 badge? i can get a pic tomorrow in the morning if needed.. thanks

Yep. They called it Lariat LE. Most had a two tone paint job with body color high and low then a 2nd color down the middle with some stripes. Does your grandfather's truck have cab lights integrated in a custom visor?

From the brochure I am looking at right now...it appears the LE is an exterior package with a Lariat interior.

This truck looks more like a Centurion edition

I've looked into one of these when searching for my truck. They are nice. All leather bucket seats front and back and other goodies. It's an LE Lariat not a Centurion.

The attached link is a scan of a dealer promo poster that shows what the LE should look like (basically exactly like the photo that Brandon posted). I assumed there were other colors offered but perhaps not....they all might have the same paint treatment.

I think I read somewhere that they all were dually trucks as well. (not sure if that is true or not...)

WTF. Not all old men are the same. I don't have a single bell or whistle on my truck.

Bless your grand dad for handing that good looking truck down to you. I'm a grand dad that will be handing my truck down to someone.
Just not too soon I hope.

The pic Brandon posted is a true LE. I have seen a few of them, same color, and always duallys.
That sticker can be bought at Auto Zone, I remember seeing them years ago. An older guy I worked with had em on his Chevy S10.

A true LE from the factory has 2 captains chairs and a console up front, and two captains chairs and a console in the back. They were all crew cab duallies, and could be ordered in either short or long wheel base. MOST were ordered in the SWB config. They were either navy/gold/burgandy or Black/gold/burgandy. There are many more blackones than navy ones

Here is a pic of the back seats

Yes, Ford made a Lariat LE model in 2000, I have one. Mine is a short bed dually 4x4. Wish Ford still made a "short bed dually", Great 5th wheel tow vehicle! 7.3 power stroke, 4 Captain's chairs with center consoles front and back. I thought they only came in black or white with the gold (champagne) inserts? Not sure, mine is black. I am looking for OEM tailgate "Lariat LE" insignia, replaced tailgate.
