Mirror swap
Hi i was wondering if i could swap mirrors out on my truck. I have the same mirrors as the ones on the F150's. Would the mouting holes match up for the 250 ones? I know ill have to make new holes at the bottom but i am wondering if the top holes will line up? Thanks for your help!

If you have the little, single mount mirrors and want to switch to the larger, dual mount mirrors, when you pull yours off there is a large square hole underneath you will nee to deal with by welding it up or fabing a "cover" for it.

Yes you can and no they don't. Clear as mud.... When I bought my truck in 98 the dealer supplied the RV style mirrors (would not buy truck otherwise), when I put them on IIRC the top 2 holes line up but you must drill another hole. For bottom just drill new holes, for existing holes I just put the bolts back in. Its been that way for 12 years and no problems. You will like them, well worth the swap. Good Luck.

sorry to change subject a little but did ford change the top mounting bracket for the hd trucks because on one side of my truck the top mirror mount sits 180 degrees different than the other side
