What's a good price for this F250?

Thinking about selling my 04 to get into a cheaper truck. I found this 99 and it's pretty nice. The paint is a 10 footer, was a lower quality respray, interior is fair, needs rotors turned and has other issues I can't remember. Has a nice soft ride, definitely drives like a lifted truck but is not all over the road. Has new wheels and new Toyo M/T's with a 10 inch lift and 220k miles. Also it's the 7.3 diesel..

Thinking about $10,000?

is that ur truck behind it ???

if so it hardly seems worth it..

going from a 04 to a 99, isnt gunna really make it any cheaper..plus with ur current truck you know whats the problems are, buying a used truck of that vintage who knows what you could be getting into.

$10K is probably a bit more than I would pay.

Yeah, my truck is super nice inside and out. I would have about $6,000 extra if I went with the 99 but then I would probably put that into it to make it perfect and then I would still have a 99 with 220k on it.

I just wish the gas mileage wasn't so bad with mine. It's an awesome truck but I am getting a little burned out with it already. I miss the sports cars.

I recently faced the same problem. I really had my heart set in buying a used 7.3L and all the ones I could find had salvaged titles, were lifted too high, had a million miles, bad ball joints, etc. I decided to go with the 06 6.0. It was tough to steer that far away from the 7.3, but I am content. Stay with what you've got. I would anyway. The really nice 7.3's with low mileage are over priced because of how rare they are. I'm not a mpg professional, but the 6.0 is suppose to get better mpg. I have seen 17+mpg economy, not sure if the 7.3 could do that, but who knows.

I'm thinking about 7k. Lot of miles, questionable lift makes the whole driveline questionable, 05+ front end means it was rebuilt, probably not for entirely cosmetic reasons (ie to hide damage to the original front end). Keep what you have instead of laying out the cash for potential future savings.

I think that truck has been wrecked. The whole front end has been changed out. The headlights, grill, bumper, and even the passenger front fender is missing an emblem. I thought the deisels had an emblem on the door. I think you should keep the truck you have if you can. Good luck.

early 99 7.3s had the emblem on the front of the fender, late 99+ had the emblem on the door.

Your wanting to get this truck to get better MPGs?? How bad is your truck now, because my e99 gets around 16mpg on stock suspension and tire size.

Last fill up was 8mpg. I kinda don't want to put any money into it because my 80 Trans Am is dead even with the money I have in the bank, I don't have any income because it all goes to diesel. Once that car is running the cost of gas wont hurt me anywhere near as much so that's why the car is my priority right now.

I can't imagine that truck with a lift and huge tires is going to get much better MPG than what you have now. You should consider looking at stock trucks if you want to stay in a full size and get decent MPG.

Yeah man I think I am done with these things for now, my other 7.3 was a little better though. I am just gonna get a GTO or maybe even a Tahoe. It's hard to find a clean one around here though.

I did have someone wanting to trade me an Infiniti M35 though.

Thanks guys, the truck wasn't for sale but he was going to sell it if I wanted it. It's a cool truck but like y'all said down grading would be stupid.
