Question - mustang II Install 60 f100

This is probably a stupid question. I'm preparing my truck for a Mustang II installation. Do I remove the crossmember that the 292 bell housing was mounted to? I am assuming it should be removed but want to check before I start cutting off all those rivets. I know the front crossmember stays on.
Thank you
Ray

If it's in the way of the installation of your new engine and trans combo, you can trim it or remove it. But I wouldn't do anything with it until I had the new MII crossmember finish welded in place. You don't want to lose the current measurements of your frame, and if you cut out too much stuff without proper bracing, your rails can move on you quite a bit.
