How do I remove mouldings and graphics
I am fixin to start my body prep work in order to get it ready for paint. How do I take these mouldings, graphics and emblems (like the F150 emblem and other items illustrated by the arrows) Are they stuck on with tape? Will I have to use a razor or can I use a heat gun to get the graphics off?
Thanks

I use a heat gun and a plastic scraper with very good results. Just heat the plastic emblems while applying pressure with the scraper and they should come off very cleanly with no leftover tape. If there is a touch of tape, then you can either carefully re-heat it or use a little PPG wax and grease remover, both work well. As for the graphics, as long as they are not buried under clear a little heat and patience will work there as well. You just need to lift one edge to get your fingernail under, then pull back, not up and it should stay in one piece to allow you to get it off cleanly. Hope this helps!

For removing the emblems, just like Sand_man said, a heat gun and plastic scraper will work. Just becareful of how much heat you apply. You could also do the same to the grafix, or get a adhesive eraser for a drill. You might need one for the mouldings and emblems anyway. Using the grease and wax remover will work, but also take a long time to.

For adhesive-backed emblems, I use some strong fishing line with each side tied securely around a dowel... Basically, it's a "garrote"... a tool used to strangle . Ya just drag the line through. EZ.
To remove the remaining adhesive, I use "Goof-Off". Works great. Wash it off thoroughly and reapply body wax afterwards.
Decal removal? Careful use of a heat gun and a non-metallic scraper - like plexiglass.
