New Truck

Well after debating whether I need a new truck or not for months I finally took the plunge. As of Tuesday this week I have a 2011 F350 Dually Long Box on order. Can't wait for it to be here in 6-8 weeks.

Well I really wanted the dark blue pearl metallic that was on my 08 but thats not available on the king ranch. The only other color that really jumped out at me thats available on the king ranch was royal red with the lower pale adobe 2 tone so thats what I went with.

Both the royal red as well dark blue pearl metallic will really suit the lines of your new PSD.

I like the big prominent grille on the 2011. It looks especially impressive when framed by the outer area painted body color (King Ranch!)...

I'm a big fan of the Copper brown (or whatever it is) on the adobe lowers... very sexy. the Colors you have look awesome also!! There's a SRW around here like that I believe.

Well after talking to the dealer today it looks like ford is ahead of the game. Truck should be here last week in February first week in March. That makes for about 4 1/2 - 5 week turn around. Not bad, thought it would likely be longer then promised...

I am too lazy to look it up myself - what gear ratios are available now on duallies? When I had my 03, it was either a 3.73 w/o LS or a 4.10 with LS (maybe there was a lower geared version than this too, maybe 4.30?).
I know tire sizes on the newer trucks are different than the old 235/85/16's that the 03 had...that changes overall ratio too.

I think now is 3.73 and 4.30. They don't have limited slip anymore. They have an electric locking diff instead which I though to be kind of cool. Tires size I believe to be the same other then the duallies now ride on 17s. I went with 3.73s but wish a 4:10 was available because I plan to run bigger tires again. 4:30 was just too low for a highway truck.

Well I'd like to run an 8 inch lift with 37s again but I'm having a hard time finding a wheel/tire/spacer combo that won't have the rear tires stick out of the dually fenders. My only other alternative is to get fender extensions or bigger dually fenders. They do make them but cuz ford changed the dually fender combo this year no one makes them for the 2011 as of yet. Looks like it will be a bit of waiting game until the after market catches up.
