I can not answer this question yet. I took my truck into the dealer because I had a CEL. The truck was running fine but the light persisted. They ran the code and discovered a possible bad injector. They gave me a loaner. Ford made them run several diagnostic routines before authorizing a new injector.
During all this drama, they reset the tank capacity to 50gallons. The service manager called me and said it went well. I will let everyone know when I get the truck back tomorrow.

[quote=marine57_4;10192223]how will it work for my combined total of 127 gallons? the way i am set up is the 90 gallon tank trickles gas into the neck of the filler tube of the main tank.[/quote
Unfortunately, it will not work. If the tank/gauge is always showing full, it will show MTE for whatever the computer has been programmed for tank capacity. The choices are limited to Ford factory tank sizes and 50 gallons and 67 gallons. There is no option at this time to allow for incremental capacity changes and it is unlikely to change. There was a slight struggle to get the IDS programmers to make this allowance for us but Paul persevered.
I suspect that when your 90 gallon tank is empty the MTE will begin to countdown from your stock tank size of 37 gallons. I am not sure if you can program for the 67 gallon tank option and the count down from 60 gallons consumed will be accurate but it is likely possible. It would seem if you went that route the calculation would be just as meaningless as the previous 50/26 gallon setup before the IDS upgrade.
Hope that made sense
