Hi all, I just had a question. I just got an AOD from a place that came out of a 1992 thunderbird. I am having a hell of a time trying to get it in. I have a 1982 F150, 302, 2 wheel drive. An AOD came out of it. I just cant get it on there. Will it fit? all of the holes line up. I am thinking they gave me the wrong torque converter. any help would be appreciated.

 

Is the torque converter fully seated? The front face of the converter should be about a half inch inside the front face of the bellhousing.

 

Remove the convertor and do a test fit in the flex plate.
