Torqueshift question
I use my '03 F250, 6.0 to pull a 9400 lb Bobcat and a 1300 lb bushhog on my 20 ft trailer. I have trailer brakes and a controller, but like to use the tow/haul mode mostly to assist with stops. I don't so much care for/need that mode for starting the load. Is there a problem with frequently shifting in and out of tow/haul? Thanks.

There is no problem doing that, but why not just leave it in Tow/Haul? That's enough weight to justify leaving it in Tow/Haul.

The main reason is that it takes forever to wind out all the gears, especially the last one. I'll be in 4th at 60 mph and click the tow/haul off and it shifts into 5th, no problem, and runs smoothly from there. It just doesn't seem necessary to wind out those gears like that. Am I missing something?

I'm assuming you're not doing too much highway driving like this? It shouldn't take much longer than 60mph, but I know what you mean. It's really a matter of preference. I'm always in Tow/Haul(when towing or hauling), I feel more under control stopping and starting in it.

I have about a 45 mile trip. The middle 30 is on rural interstate. I keep it at about 65 mph. It never downshifts when not in tow/haul mode, so not very hilly.

I could have worded that better. Alot of guys come on here and ask a question similar to "should I be in tow/haul" there seems to be a misconception people sometimes have to think they need to be pulling/hauling a certain amount of weight to use it. With the amount of weight he's towing, I'd deal with the constant shifting, though I understand what he's gonna deal with the hills.
