1963/64 F600 going to the scrapper

I know it's too new for this fourm but a lot of the parts are the same and I will post it over on the "Slicks" too.

A friend is going to scrap this but is willing to drop it by here for me to pull what I want before it goes.
I plan to pull the engine and am wondering what else I should try to save. The cab and all sheet metal is not much good but there has to be some small stuff that needs saved.
What should I strip?

Check the wheels!!! Many of that era had the 22.5" tubeless variety that so many guys want to switch to. So grab them for sure. If it's got widowmakers, though, send them on to China. Stu

I'm pretty sure it has 20" tube type wheels but never noticed if they were WM's. I assume they are but will check for sure.

what was the engine/tranny setup?
If this was a FE to manual setup, the bellhousing should have "ears" to sit on the crossmember as the rear motor mount.

HARD TO FIND!

If its a y block does it have a 4 barrel? If it is a 292 heavy duty it could have a steel crankshaft and heavy duty rods and worth something. Are you going to pull the engine? or at least pull the dust cover in front of the tranny. Turn the crank and look for any notches on the edge of the crankshaft. If it has no notches on the crank it is a steel crank. Let me know what you find.

It does have a 4 barrel holley. Beyond that and the fact that it is not stuck I don't know anything about it but would guess there is a 99.9% chance that it has been changed at least one during it's lifetime.
The engine was my main interest in it and when the snow melts down enough to get to it I will get it home and check it out further.
Thanks for the info to help identify it.
