Brown County would be cool as that is where they have the Indiana Mustang club's annual Meeting. If we plan it for the same time, we could go invade them.

Pretty close voting right now...Mounds in the lead with 9 and Brown County with 7...both excellent choices!!!

As far as dates...the two I am going to suggest are the weekends of September 10/11 and September 17/18...and that will be in the cross country season for my daughters...so...we'll have to see...but September is an awesome month to camp!

I'll post a poll for the choice of weekend dates in the next few weeks to make the decision solid.

Just so everyone knows...since we'll be going to a state park...people will have to book their sites early (you can book 6 months to the day early)...or you may not get a site in the group area...

Thanks everyone for voting!

If I can make it, I will bring the timing setup and tools for our IDI brethren. I am always trying to help those with the Clattering Sleepy Giant. A big part of if I can make it will be location. Brown County would be my best shot of me being able to get away for the afternoon. I will also bring my stock of Glow Plugs for those who need them. Genuine Motorcraft/Beru on the cheap! I may even bring a couple sets of spare injectors and a pump or two. I am also preparing to do some real world testing on some of the more questionable mods relating to the idi. Electric Fan and Electric Fuel pump to start. If the results are promising I may even be convinced to put a kit or two together. I hope to make it, it should be a good time!!

I'll have to start a thread on time for the rally...

While I agree September is the best time for weather to camp...I realized that both my kids will be running cross-country...

So...hmmmmm...we'll have to go with the majority though...

Hello, Hoosier FTEs. I just voted for 'The Mounds'. I am not a tent camper or an RV enthusiast, but 'Mounds' is one of the few parks I have not visited. (Maybe they have cabins or a lodge for accomodations.) I would like to join the gathering to meet fellow Ford Truck Enthusiasts. If we meet this year, I'll attend in my daily driver, an '04 Ranger XLT or in my functional hobby car, a '70 MGB. My hobby truck, a '51 F1 is still years away from being road worthy. - I would like to suggest a June gathering. If we get a decent turn out and it 'turns out' to be fun, we might want to try another gathering later in the summer or in the fall. - Perhaps a 'fall colors' outing in mid-October near Lieber State Park or 'Cataract Falls' State Recreation Area. (a covered bridge above a very pretty waterfall - somewhat centrally located in the state)

Keep those Fords rolling! Respectfully yours,
Rob Blubaugh - RENSSELAER

I'm not big on camping so I'd probably only show up for the day, but I voted for Mounds. I've been to Brown County before.

Well folks...poll is now CLOSED.

Mounds gathered slightly more than 50% of the votes...so I think that will be our GTG site.

For the record...I didn't even vote...my first choice is Mounds because I think that is an awesome SP...but they all are awesome...we'll go with the majority though.

I'll post up a few choices for weekends...probably 2 in June and 1 in August...I'd like to do one in September or October but both my girls run cross-country so I'll have to wait and see their schedule...they start school like August 11 or 12 or something crazy like that.

THANKS for all the participation...really looking forward to meeting everyone FACE to FACE!!!

Joe.

bronc,

What would be great is to have multiple GTG's around the state...if anyone is interested in holding a separate regional GTG...let me know and we can plan that with someone else coordinating it...I have been looking for regional assistant chapter leaders for a few months and would love to have some help...

Let me know so we can accommodate more of our chapter better!

Joe.
