Got a 3 groove pulley for my pickup but I'm not sure of its origin. Its stamped DOOE-6312. Any ideas.

 

Just Google decoding Ford casting numbers and you should be able to identify it.

Sooo, I'm thinking 1970 Fairlane or Torino.

 

This pulley is missing its ID engineering number's suffix, but it's prolly the following, since I cannot find anything else w/a D0OE prefix.

D0OE-6312-C = Ford part number: D0OZ-6A312-B .. Triple Sheave Pulley-1970/72 Mustang/Cougar/Torino/Fairlane 351C / 1971/72 LTD 400.

I don't believe this pulley will bolt to your FE's harmonic balancer, as its bolt pattern is different.

hollygreenman: D0OE-6312-C is not a casting number. Casting numbers cannot be crossed referenced to Ford part numbers.

Casting numbers found on bare blocks, cylinder heads, intake/exhaust manifolds, trans cases, axle housings, steering boxes, I-beams.

 

Thanks guys, yea the suffix was missing, in fact the 2 on the 6312 was missing, must of been a bad stamp. Would this pulley also be for a Boss 351 and or a CJ?

 

D0OZ-6A312-B = 351C 2V/4V, except Boss & Cobra Jet.
