Edelbrock 2092 Power Package

Just wondering peoples' opinions on the Edelbrock 2092 top end power package... anyone used this?

Edelbrock 2092 Edelbrock Power Package Top End Kits

Is this a package you could put on an otherwise stock engine, or would you have to do some bottom end upgrades as well (pistons, etc)? I've got a pretty much bone stock 1978 351w that I'd like to warm up a little but don't want to go too crazy... This package seems like pretty decent bang for the buck as long as you don't have to do too much else to it.

i personally think this would give decent power in your truck but would give you more power if you had a car. i would stay away from the performer rpm stuff because in a truck with a stock bottom end you want low end torque and not so much power when you're up in the revs, it doesn't say but i'm guessing the power ban is around 2000 rpm - 6500 or so, I would look something more so in the 1000 - 5000 range in your truck, not a bad price though

I guess I should specify what I'll be using the engine for... I'm building a 1952 Mercury M1 truck hot rod. Basically want something that is very streetable, but has good "get up n' go" when you stomp on it. Plan on driving it 50% of the time over the summer, never in winter or bad weather.

Would this power package kit and a some headers (depending on what I can fit past the steering) be good?

I have a 51 f1 which is basically the same truck, that power package would be awesome and move our sized trucks VERY easily. Especially if your going with a 351. I say go for it cause of the way your going to drive/use the truck. If it was daily driven year round then something else might work better. I'm opting for a 302/aod combo for daily driving.

If its a lighter truck then for sure, but when you do do your bottom end I'd make sure to build the bottom end to get more rpm out of it. Sounds like a wicked project man
