4x4 not working agian
Hey guys
I got a 02 f250 7.3l and it seems every winter the 4x4 goes out. used it on new years night in the rain and had a deep freeze the same night and the truck was dead last weekend. I chared it up through the next week and went to drive it today and no 4x4. I have no 4x4 lights on the dash tried hubs first there ok checked relays (with bench test) all good checked fuses seem good and have power to them. The only thing i am not getting is the clicking in the relays and no click in the hub and certianly no tcase sounds Whats next I have check the switch which stumped me so i tried a jumper wire on the clipand still nothing. Any solutions or info on the switch like what the four wires are for. The 2 outside one seem to be for the lights the other 2 not sure.
Any help is appreciated Thanks

I have a similar problem. Mine doesnt always want to work, the dash light comes on but it doesnt engage. The only way i can get it to work when i want to is to lock my hubs and even then no guarantee, i even upgraded my locls to warns last week, the truck has a mind of its own most of the time i swear, sorry i couldnt be a help to you.

I think all your fuses are under the dash, in the cab. If so, it will be fuse #111, a 30amp. I just can't remember when they moved all the fuses in the cab. I think it was 02. If you have power to the fuse when switch it on, then check for power at the relays. If no power is at the fuse when switch it on. look for a bad switch, broken wire between switch and fuse, and so on.
