Transmission cooler lines question
06 f450 w/ 6.0 ps. Transmission lines rusted out at the plastic brackets that hold them together. Replacing them there are reusable ends that I got off that don't come with the new lines from Ford. The ones that go into the filter housing appear to be aluminum, they are fine. The ones into the radiator appear to be steel and are not reusable. The only way to get those from Ford are to buy a new radiator. If I were to buy a new filter housing it would be a lot cheaper but it has the aluminum ends. Would they be the WRONG thing to use in the radiator?
Thanks in advance.

Fittings
I wish I could help. I just went through the same ordeal. I lucked out and one of the mechanics at the dealer had a spare parts bucket with a fitting in it. He told me it not uncommon for them to save those fittings when they can just for that reason. It can't hurt to go to a couple dealer shops and ask the mechanics. Some of them will probably look at you like your crazy but if you or I was one of them, we would help them out. Dorman makes the fittings for GM and a few other applications but not for our trucks. If you find out where you can get them, let me know because the left side of my radiator to cooler fitting is on it's way out. Good Luck
