Finally! (WAS:Now need 84-86-specific & Project Truck submissions) (WAS: Sticky re-work in progress)

The main sticky has returned
OK, I copied the main sticky to a backup location so ours is back online.
I'm leaving the "submit new entries" turned off, though, at least for a while. There are still
two entries in there that I need to add to the main sticky, too.... Maybe I'll just incorporate
'em into the up-and-coming version.....

Chris,
I understand leaving the new stickie submission turned off. But, it it does take as long as some think......
And, in case you do take new submissions, I think this one is a candidate: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-question.html

The only reason I didn't put the submission sticky back up is cuz we already have 3
stickies up there and I don't want to exceed that as the real estate taken up by those +
Announcements (if any) is already more than I like.
If anybody has any submissions during this interim time, feel free to submit 'em here.

I have a suggestion on how to reduce the number of Stickied topics, though I don't know how well it'll work...
Maybe make the How-To and Submission topics into one. Basically, the first post contains all the How-To topic links. Any posts after that are those of members, admins, mods, etc. discussing submissions. If a submission is accepted, it's added to the first post.
The current layout of the How-To topic is to have each category divided into its own post (a post for Electrical, a post for Engine, a post for Drivetrain, etc.). If the links were divided in a more condensed fashion, like my example below, then you could fit alot more info in a lot less space. (I do realize that posts here most likely have a character limit, though, so that could present a problem)
Example:
ELECTRICAL
[simple description here; basically describe what's covered]
--- [link]
--- [link]
--- [link]
ENGINE
[simple description here; basically describe what's covered]
--- [link]
--- [link]
--- [link]
DRIVETRAIN
[simple description here; basically describe what's covered]
--- [link]
--- [link]
--- [link]
--- [link]
Or something to that effect.
Anyway, I support you 100%. Better organization will make for a better experience here as well as make it much easier for people to find the info they need.
