We got to think about a GTG...just not this month!

LOL...Merry Christmas Ya'll!

It's been another GREAT year and as I was working on the 2011 calendar last night I got to thinking about our last GTG.

We had a pretty good time...we got to meet some folks face to face (finally), nobody left hungry...and we looked awsome in the parking lot!

I know we're all busy with the Christmas season on us all...but we need to be thinking about a date and location for our next GTG. My thoughts are if we just pick a Saturday in April or May NOW...then we'll all have that day open to get together again! Dave SHOULD be done with the snow plow by then! What do ya think?

As for a location...I'm gonna have to drive no matter what so let's try to pick someplace central and easy to get to. Ya'll jump on here and give us your thoughts!

Hope ya'll have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year (ya'll stay safe and remember, if yer gonna party, have a designated driver!).

Joe

Finances kept me from last years gtg. I really wanted to go, but could not get my customers to pay on time. Things are better now. April or May sounds good to me. I agree with a central location.

We had a great time at last year's GTG. I'll definitely try hard to be at this year's too. Hopefully this year I won't have a funeral to go to 100 miles away on the same day. First time I ever went to the Clarksburg area via Charleston

Anyway, since we been geocaching alot this fall, I've been to several places that would make a good place for a GTG....

New River Gorge Bridge
Sutton Lake
Several places on the Scenic Highway
Seneca Rocks

Sutton is the geographic center of WV. Can't get much more "middle ground" that that

Hey folks I'm serious about us choosing a date! In May of 2011, I'm already down to either the 7th (the first Saturday) or the 21st (the third Saturday). I have a Cancer Society event on the 14th and the annual family reunion on the 28th.

I'd like to hear from more folksies! I also like the idea of either the Sutton area or the New River Gorge Bridge area.

Merry Christmas Ya'll!

I vote for a date in May.....I think the 21st sounds better to me....

I dont have a preference to where.....as long as you are with those you care about,
the where shouldnt matter much.....might even have my Ford by then

i vote for may as well the 21st is fine with me (i havent cleared it with the wife but its not bow season so i know i am free ha ha) i can go about anywhere so i will let the others decide on where to hold it. you might want to consider some state parks (they have all the stuff to have a great cookout) there is coonskin in charleston and i am sure there are some up i79 more towards the geographic center of the state. i am on the western side of the state so i know i will have to travel so no big deal and i drive everyday for work so no biggie for me. i am assuming these are family events?

Yup, bring the family! We'll have to hold on the pets (the animal ones) till we see where we are heading...some state parks have different rules about bringin furry friends in.

Don't know where we're goin...but I'll see ya on the 21st of May!
