Removing a Pivot Pin in Drum Brake of 86' F350

How does one remove the top pivot pin that the self adjust the cable, brake shoes, and e-brake lever uses? The e-brake lever is making a pain to do anything on the left side of the drum and I want to replace the self adjusting cable with the one I got with one of my kits if possible.

There is a hex nut on the other side of the backing plate, the pin goes through the plate and the nut is what holds it in place. Don't recall what size of a socket you'll need tho, I'm thinking it was either 7/16" or 1/2" but it may be smaller too, been a while since I messed with those on my truck.

Sorry to be back to the thread after so long but I checked there when I was at that point and saw no nut. In the place you would find it, it looked like the tip of a threaded bolt sticking out of the backing plate that was threaded into the backing plate itself. I skipped replacing the self adjusting cable as I was in a rush to get things back together at the time.

There should of been a nut there. I'm working on mine now and I got the nut off. I just can't get the washer off the bolt to change the cable. The bolt has like a star shape and the washer is pressed in there.

It is 7/16" wrench size. There is probably some dirt packed around the nut.
