I have a factory Ford rear chrome step bumper that I got off the list a while back, if interested? You can earn it when WE work on ol Blue as soon as I get home?

77&79 - I really like the bumper in that top picture, it looks exactly like the one on my truck, but not surface rusted/etc like mine is.

Where did you get it?

Without hijacking the thread - I'm thinking about wire wheeling all the rust/crud off of mine and painting it. I'm torn between doing a chrome look (or maybe even a real chrome dip!?) or doing a gloss black. The third option is just buying a bumper like the one in your picture

How's this for dumb luck? The guy that dropped off the next project at the shop had an extra bumper with adapter brackets so the drop bumper will fit my truck. Looks like the problem is solved.

pirat, got it off the craiglist (thanks again Unk Bob for the assist on that).

Even if you wire wheel it the paint will not stick very well to old chrome. To re chrome dip it $$$. I would either buy a new one from LMC or another repro company like NPD or JBG. See the FTE sponsors list above, ck it out.

LMC catalog pg 60 item 49-9897 list $362 sale $289 maybe better off in a JY ??

Sorry Alan HJ over glad you got a bumper, yea.

I got the rest of the stuff on and cleaned her up a bit. Have I mentioned that I love my truck lately?

Note the strategic, yet artistic way I hide the fact my bed isn't painted yet?

See? The hood and roof are painted. I even got the inside of the tail gate, just not the rest of the bed. I plan on getting the color-matched rhino liner over the summer.

What are those? Those came off the red flatbed the chassis came with. Honestly, I don't care. I got those stupid little sport mirrors off of it. I can actually see behind me now.

I like that style mirror. Large mirror face and they easily swing out of the way for tight spaces.

I have a set that the top bar is parallel with the ground and the back is a little more square.

Oh Ok, I know which ones you're talking about Rich. They would look good too, but these are already on there. The top bar on these angle up, then go parallel to the ground. (you can see in the second picture down of the rear passenger side)
