I didn't see it in the thread so I will post it up. Here is a good article from the Beru website on glowplugs.

I'm new to this website, and have found many great posts.
thanks so much for teaching me starter fluid is bad for the engine, etc.
can someone direct me to the proper thread to post these questions?
my vehicle: 1993 Ford F-350 7.3L IDI Diesel
problems: lots of white smoke on start. what potential problems does this indicate?

I just ordered CC2602 Fleetguard strips off Amazon for $39.95 and free shipping. It's a bottle of 50 strips. Thanks for the Cavitation article.

Bullnose/Bricknose/OBS diesel sending unit source!

Please throw money at these people to make sure they keep making them! For the first time in three years I now have a working fuel gauge. The only problem I encountered was the sending unit oring was too thick so I reused my old one.

These units don't come with the showerhead, it's available separate for $30 or you can go to ford but you will need one!

Help

So i have an 86 f250 6.9L deisel that I'm having a few problems and I'm needing some insight. My problem is I think my fuel pump went out but I'm not sure. Because I'm not getting fuel to anything. Ive tried bleeding the fuel system and there's no air or water in the system. But when I crank it. It wont start. And if it decides to actually start it doesnt run for very long. I thought about putting am inline pump in but I am not sure. Any advice or insight would be a huge help and greatly appreciated
