Truck didn't start this morning any suggestions?

Got up this morning and it was about 35* out, put my key in, waited for the WTS light to turn off, tried to crank and nothing, no slow crank or hesitation, didn't even hear the start solenoid click, it did it again when I left the bank, which is only about a 5 mile drive, but when i left home and came back from getting lunch it didn't do it, any suggestions as far as what it could be?

It was in P, I shifted down to low then back up to park to make sure it was, then after cycling the key 5 or 6 times when i left home it started just fine, but the 5 times i cycled it, it didn't make any attempt to start, and then when I left the bank it took 2 failed attempts to start, could it be the starter solenoid?

Hook up an idiot light to the starter and see if it lights up each time. It could be the starter itself

I think I'll do that and check that the starter solenoid is getting power at the same time
